When Visiting Vietnam, Travel By Scooter
When you’re planning your next trip to Vietnam, consider carefully the route you will take to travel between the cities. If you have seen the worldwide sensation of a show called Top Gear then you will remember the epic episode where the three gentlemen traveled from the south of Vietnam to the north in a period of just over one week. And they traveled with motorbikes.
One Of The Best Holidays In Vietnam Would Be Completed On A Motorbike
It is true, taking a holiday to Vietnam would be best suited for a motorcycle or scooter. This is the true essence of Vietnam transportation and a Vietnamese way of life. If you like to experience the way that people in a country truly live, and not just stepped in to some fancy resort, then consider your trip through Vietnam by motorbike, just as the three presenters from Top Gear did.
It is about 1000 miles from the south of Vietnam to the north. A comfortable trip, stopping in many cities and staying at several local hotels, would allow you to complete the journey in about two weeks. This would make for a very nice vacation or holiday in Vietnam. Another option is to simply take taxis but frankly this is boring. Live for some adventure and rent a scooter or even buy a scooter for about $1000 U.S.
After all, when you get to the end of the journey you can even sell your scooter for about the same amount of money that you bought it for. Now this is the way to have a holiday vacation–with a splash of adventure. Just make sure to bring a jacket if you go with during the rainy season, also known as the monsoon season in Vietnam. This may not be your ideal time to traverse the dangerous Japanese roads (when they are flooded). But still, go during the dry season and you’ll be in for a beautiful journey with busy cities, relaxing country sites, and beautiful coastal roads. Perhaps there is no better way to see Vietnam than mounted atop a motorbike.
